A full video walkthrough of Surveys and Polls can be found here:
Polls are designed to be a fast and easy way to gather information from a group of participants. Whether you are asking "Which ice cream flavor is their favorite" or "Which fast food restaurant should be built in the local small town." They are similar in format to the surveys and polls but also contain distinguishing features that set it apart.
Here are a few tips on how to build these promotions so that you can make them effective for your station/company.
The first and most important aspect of the build is the landing page. Since it was engineered to be a fast and easy way to vote, the entry form that you are familiar with only appears when they want to see the results of their answers. Meaning, there ISN'T a way to control voting when it comes to the amount therefore, voting can fluctuate drastically.
On the other hand there is a way to control voting when it comes to them viewing the results, which is found in the Settings tab.
Also, you can view the statistics of the poll in the Stats tab on the top right. You can break each statistic down by question and it will render a small bar chart.
Lastly, you can set whether you want them to view their results upon finishing the poll and whether they see poll votes of others that have entered by going to the landing page and selecting the checkboxes.
Quick recap:
Voting is not controlled (amount of votes per user).
Even if they don't put their information to view results their votes will still appear on -bar chart.
The "Max Submissions" in the settings tab is only relevant to those that put their info in to view results.
